the {warehouse} magazine is a voice. It is an avenue for expression. It is a social conscience. Reminiscent of the counterculture movements of the turbulent sixties or the beat poets who inspired a generation, our soul is rooted in a dedication to social activism and cultural awareness.

profiling. Our second issue explores the versatile, often elusive, concept of {profiling}. The edition speaks to our communal purpose as a platform for compelling content and relevant discourse. Our conversant sketches range from the hearty cost of eating healthy and the problematic of national identity to a resounding clamour for urban poetry and curious, if not empowering, expressions of human sexuality.

The inaugural issue is meaningfully entitled left of centre. While everything in life is political, our interpretation of this idiom goes far beyond the realm of the National Assembly. It is an expression of our commitment to an alternative path, be it political, social, cultural or, perhaps especially, other.
