By Mohsen al Attar - Fair point. I wonder though, would it be more accurate to say that he was swept into the white house because he would make it easiest for 'us' to be controlled and manipulated? Notice how many individuals (in the US, Canada, and in fact the world) championed the great black hope without even bothering to question his senatorial voting record, his campaign contributors, or, for that matter, his politics. If there's a puppet in this picture, I would have to say it's the people.
thanks for this article

By ggggg - what a great article., so good to hear patriarchal values be put in their place, the first way the colonizers installed power and domination to those they were trying to colonize, to instill patriarchy.... and of course these women are considered nobody´s like those dignified women in ciudad jaurez who work making so much of the goods consumed in the US and Canada who are also considered nobody´s and therefore their deaths and dissapearances go uninvestigated. but htey are NOT nobodys!!! and we must listen closer and closer to their voices, for they are telling such a fundamental truth and their deaths are also: that patriarchy and white supremacist colonialism is the disease that founded these "countries" and threatens all our humanity... we must all struggle against it!!!

By Carole Prevost - Mr. Change revealed himself to be little more than Mr. Status Quo. Not only did he escalate both wars, but he bombed a third (Pakistan); he stood tough against Israel for 3.7 seconds before yielding like a good American president does HERE HERE!! WELL SAID! I have always beleived that Mr Obama was the swept into the White House because he would be the easiest to control and manipulate.

By sir richard - Astral Media (Canada's largest private broadcaster) licenses the Virgin name from Sir Richard's company. There is no US involvement in the deal. Canadian content in music is mandated for all radio stations in Canada at either 35 or 40%. The music must be played. Was intrigued by your opening paragraph, your obvious lack of basics in this situation makes the rest of your article unreadable and irrelevant.

By {w} team - Hi "sir richard" We appreciate your feedback. The fact remains, however, that the article is about the franchising of radio in the same way corporations franchise coffee shops (think Starbucks) and superstores (think Walmart), serving up the same junk food coast to coast - regardless of whether the corporation is Canadian, American or otherwise owned. Unfortunately, as you say, the reference to a "U.S. based acquisition" simply overshadows the weight of this reflection. We have published your comment and asked the author to reconsider that segment of the article. Dialogue, regardless of origin, is the real point of this entire exercise, so thank you for taking the time to engage us. Regards the {warehouse} magazine team
