Trudeau Stories: No politics and plenty of heart

Trudeau Stories: No politics and plenty of heartCentaur Theatre’s last show of their 2009-2010 season is Trudeau Stories, written and performed by Brooke Johnson and directed by Allyson McMackon.  Johnson is a graduate of Montreal’s own National Theatre School of Canada, where she studied acting. It was also while attending this institution that Johnson met the living legend Pierre Trudeau. She was twenty-three years old at the time and he was in his mid-sixties. The unlikely friendship blossomed immediately.

She assures us that the two of them were merely lonely souls coming together to talk about literature and theatre.

The G20 Summit 2010

The G20 Summit - Love & Confrontation

The G20 Summit RiotsAbout 10.000 protesters took on the street of Toronto on the opening day of G20. After 2 hours of peaceful march, about 100 violent black-blocs anarchists left the march and started smashing windows and police cars. After about a hour and a half, police began trapping protesters in Queen's Park, as the anarchists changed clothes and vanished, leaving peaceful protesters against police charge and pepper sprays bullets.
